Theme Park Studio Update Delicious new flat rides, emmisive lighting, bumper boats and more!
Getting in on the early bird edition of Planet Coaster coming in March 2016! The official release date is much later in the year.
No surprise – Rollercoaster Tycoon World delayed until early next year (first quarter?). There’s definitely lots of potential there, but we’ll have to see how it all pans out in 2016. Aside from the beta, why haven’t we’ve seen even a small sample of a scenario, a peep worker (mechanic, entertainer..etc.), money management, the other coasters or even guests doing things other than walking, waiting on line or riding on coasters. The guests were pretty much the same as we saw in the Pax demo, except ghosted for the beta. If any of those features were near complete, wouldn’t Atari have shown snippets by this time? I mean, it was originally going to hit in less than a month? The whole thing is peculiar.
Expanded the park, added lighting, and decided to default the ride to night. I also added subtle coaster sound effects as sound is not yet implemented in Theme Park Studio.
Storm the castle on an themed-out, Intamin launched. The actual coaster is smoother — however, Bandicam did its best.

The Calypso was a popular “egg-beater” style ride, similar to the Scrambler or Tea Cups, however, the entire ride was on an incline. The original models featured umbrella toppers, a dazzling, spinning center piece and a colorful backdrop which made the experience more festive. Later models were were stripped down to just cars on a solid platform, and a simple wall surrounding the parameter.
